Where are you based?

• Where are you based?
• That's actually the point - we go to where our clients need us to be.
• To answer your question, Andrew Cowie is based in Sydney. As he is involved in most of our ongoing projects (either from a project architect perspective, or because of a direct hands-on involvement) he tends to be abroad elsewhere in the world for stretches of a month or two.

Isn't Australia far away?

• Not as far as you might think... [you should come visit sometime!]
• We maintain a team of expert subcontractors world-wide, both to ensure we can bring the best to bear on a clients' problem, and to minimize the amount of to-ing and fro-ing required for a given project. We use local talent whenever possible, but are not afraid to fly in the best from elsewhere when that expertise is called for.
• We charge clients the actual expense incurred, to a maximum of what a full fare return ticket would cost. Surprisingly, round-the-world flights are often much cheaper than full-fare return airfare, so we use those when appropriate.

What countries do you work in?

• Our staff have explicit work rights (through various combinations of citizenship, permanent residency, free trade agreements, and easily obtainable work visas) in Australia, Canada, the United States, and throughout the European Union.
• We can enter most other countries for projects with a simple letter from the client. When required, we will include a pro-forma letter in the proposal, and just ask the client to print it on their letterhead to help with border formalities.
