Supporting and contributing to Open Source worldwide

We conduct original research to help clients make the best technology choices, and we carry out software development so take theory to practise.

Performance of complex systems

We are experts concerning running Java on Linux systems. Most of our work here focuses on helping clients improve the performance and manageability of large platforms in heavily loaded business critical environments.

Open Source

The global phenomenon of Open Source represents some of the best innovation the world has ever seen. We actively participate in a number of global communities, and encourage our staff to take significant roles within relevant projects.

Our work has included contributions to major Open Source endeavours such as the GNOME desktop, security in the Linux kernel, the Perl archives, and most of all the effort to free Java. We also have experience at the distribution level, packaging software Fedora Linux, Debian Linux, Gentoo Linux, Ubuntu Linux, and Open Solaris.

User interface

We have led the development of new Java bindings for the libraries powering the GNOME desktop. java-gnome, a project hosted at SourceForge, allows development of sophisticated user interfaces for applications that richly integrate with the GNOME Desktop, allowing clients to leverage the power of the Java language and their expertise with it while taking advantage of the strength of Linux and Open Source.
